Dr. Cordoba completed his Pre-Med studies at the University of Texas at El Paso, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree and received his Medical Degree from the UACJ School of Medicine in Mexico. Dr. Cordoba completed his internship and residency training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. He was also on the residency staff at the Illinois State Psychiatric Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
At the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, he completed a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry later serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and head of the Consultation-Liaison Department.
From 1987 until 1999, he was part of Austin Regional Clinic providing direct patient care and assisting Primary Care and Specialty Medical Providers with Consultation-Liaison services.
In 1999, he established his private practice continuing to serve the Austin community.
Past memberships include: The Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society and The Hispanic Physician’s Association of Austin. Additionally acted as the former Psychiatric Consultant for El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission Primary Care Clinic.
